About

Originally founded in 1993 under the name Walnut Grove-Capital City Yacht Club. Shortly after that, it became officially just “Capital City Yacht Club,” Capital City Yacht Club (CCYC) is now 100+ members strong and growing at a fast pace.  As of 1996 CCYC has been accepted into the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association (PICYA), an association of reciprocal yachting clubs. CCYC was the first club accepted into PICYA in the second century of that organization. Based out of Sacramento Marina, CCYC is a organized as non-profit corporation with the traditional array of Officers and Directors

While CCYC does not maintain an official club house facility, the club is based out of Sacramento Marina, which is also referred to as Miller Park.  On any given summer weekend you can find a good number of members at "Potluck Beach" which is located on the American River about 1 mile upstream from Discovery Park (where the Sacramento and American rivers meet).  Look for boats flying the CCYC burgee, most of which will be rafted-up in the river near Potluck Beach  or be stern-ended into Potluck Beach.  Make sure you stop by and say "HI".
